8 weeks, 33 1/2 adjusted

*I wrote this post earlier in the week and never posted because I was too lazy to send pictures from my phone to my computer and then I kind of felt like I had already posted and then forgot.  So I'll post it as written.  But so much more has happened since then that I'm going to need another post ASAP!*

I had my shower last Sunday. Thanks to everyone who attended!  Dylan got some awesome stuff. : )  I knew my mom was going to do a slideshow so I intentionally left a few adorable pictures off the blog.  I better fix that right now!

Status Update:

Dylan is on 1 liter of Oxygen (down from 5) at 21% (room air).  This is fantastic progress.  He should be off Oxygen completely in no time!

Dylan is getting 28mls of breast milk every 3 hours.  That comes out to almost 8 ounces a day!  It's being fortified to add calories.  He's going to reach 4 pounds MUCH more quickly than it took him to reach 3.

The Occupational Therapist is now seeing Dylan daily.  Her main job will be to work on feeding.  Like I mentioned last post, he's been practicing on a dry breast (empty) but tomorrow he's going to try breast feeding for real!  He has a strong suck, but we will have to see if he can coordinate the sucking with the breathing and swallowing.
