Three Weeks Home

(Almost)

It is awesome having Dylan home! We are starting to feel like a normal family.

Dylan sleeps really well. He'd like to long stretches at night, but we wake him every four hours because he needs his calories! Dad feeds him around 2 or 3 and I feed him at 5 or 6. Then he eats every 2-3 hours throughout the rest of the day.

Eating has been frustrating. He's thrown up 4 times which is not a ton but is more than he had been. And his volume is not as high as I'd like which is stressful, but he's still gaining weight. He was 9 pounds, 3 ounces today when we went in for our Synagis shot (to protect against RSV).

There's not a ton going on besides this!

Here are some fun pics:

  2. I hope I am not out of line to add this since I have no preemie experience, but I exclusively breastfed A, so I never "knew" how many ounces he ate. I was told that babies will not starve themselves, and since Dylan is gaining weight, it is probably good. So I wouldn't stress too much about ounces.

Awesome post! I am glad that all is going well.

  3. Boring, non-eventful days, weeks and blog updates are absolutely the best!
